Rachel Krivanek

Rachel started with our company in 2016 as an associate when she was just a senior in high school. She was one of the first employees hired to open our Surfside café in Myrtle Beach, which broke a record for opening day sales!  Rachel and the rest of the staff had no experience working at a Panera Bread since this was the first location to open in the area. Karlena Thomas, Director of Operators in Myrtle Beach, vividly remembers Rachel standing out because she was so driven and had to make sure everything was done perfectly. “Rachel is truly one of the hardest workers I know,” said Karlena, “she leads by example at all times and does everything with a smile on her face.  The way she has balanced school and continued to grow with us over the past five years has been remarkable. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a spotlight than her.”  Rachel served as a shift supervisor at our Carolina Forest café in Myrtle Beach and was a part of the pro team that helped open our newest location in Mount Pleasant, SC in December of 2020.  This month Rachel graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in marketing and was promoted to General Manager of the Surfside café where she first started.
