SPOTLIGHT ON: Nora Skimin

Nora Skimin has served our Panera Bread customers with her baking expertise for over 20 years! As a Certified Baker Trainer, Nora started her training at our Rocky River location and now considers the bakery-café her home. She consistently produces a beautiful bake, and if other cafes need assistance, she is always the first to step up to the plate. She is an amazing asset to the baking team, and deeply cares about her co-workers and customers.

There has never been a time that Nora hasn’t given 110%. Not only is she a master at her craft, but she is the most kind, thoughtful and team-oriented person. Her focus goes far beyond just turning out excellent bakes. She ensures the cafe is clean, she engages with all staff and helps however she can. She is an exceptional baker trainer and makes sure everyone is set up for success. We are very lucky to have her on our team! Congratulations Nora for 20 excellent years with Covelli Enterprises! “Where do I begin? Nora is the glue of the Rocky River café,” said Ryan Berlan, General Manager at Panera Bread in Rocky River. “She is the only person that has been at this café longer than me- 20 years! What a huge accomplishment. I have many fond memories coming in at 5am and Nora being here and greeting me each morning, playing the song Coast to Coast. She is one of the kindest, nicest souls I have ever met. She is a team player who always goes above and beyond for others. She is an incredible asset to Rocky River Panera, and it wouldn’t be the same without her.”

Nora is a HUGE Cleveland sports fan, and an avid music lover. In her free time she loves to frequent the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and other great music venues in the Cleveland, OH area.

Her favorite part of the job is icing pastries and she takes great pride in her work to ensure every detail is simply perfect. A quote that Nora lives by is “People First and Great Product.” We are very fortunate to have Nora as a member of the Panera and Covelli family.
